Camber collects zero personal data.
- No Personal Identifiers: We do not ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number, location, or contacts.
- No User Account: You can use all features of the application immediately without creating an account or logging in.
- No Telemetry or Analytics: We do not use any third-party analytics services, tracking pixels, or telemetry frameworks.
- No Advertising ID: We do not integrate ad networks or access your device identifier for advertisers (IDFA or GAID).
3. Local On-Device AI & Storage
All app functionality — including dictionary lookups, search history, custom word lists, favorites, flashcard review scores, theme choices, and On-Device AI Assistant chats — is processed and stored 100% locally on your mobile device.
- On-Device AI Processing: Camber AI runs local Language Models (such as Qwen 3 0.6B) directly on your device's Neural Engine. Your AI prompts, questions, and responses never leave your phone and are never transmitted to any cloud servers or third-party AI APIs.
- Local Persistence: All data remains stored strictly in your device's private app sandbox. If you uninstall the application, all locally saved data is permanently deleted by the operating system.
4. Audio Pronunciation & Speech Synthesis
Camber provides text-to-speech audio pronunciation for dictionary entries. All audio is synthesized locally on your mobile device using native system speech engines (iOS AVFoundation / Android TextToSpeech). No audio recordings, voice samples, or speech requests are uploaded to external cloud servers.
5. Third-Party Services
Camber does not integrate third-party SDKs, cloud databases, external analytics, or social media plugins. No data is shared with third parties.
6. Children's Privacy
Because Camber does not collect any personal information from anyone, it is fully compliant with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). It is suitable and safe for users of all ages.
